Sanctified Series

The Sanctified Series is a collection of paintings that embody the ocean's essence in both subject matter and spirit. Each piece is dipped into the sea, allowing it to absorb the water's energy and presence. This ritual holds profound significance for me, as the ocean inspires each work, and every painting's journey begins and ends with the water. Through this process, the ocean’s call is answered, creating a circle of connection that unites the painting with the natural world before its next chapter.

This act of sanctification is an expression of my gratitude, honoring the ocean’s boundless presence in my life and my son’s. Those who help me in this process, along with the people I encounter at the ocean's edge, become part of the ritual. Their involvement is a reminder that we are all deeply connected to the water—that these works are forever bound to the ocean, carrying within them a trace of the sea’s enduring essence.
