Forming Series
The forming of a wave reaching its pinnacle is influenced by many factors both past and present. The crest's shape is revealed when the dynamic swell, previously formed by the wind, is impacted by the static coastline and the underwater geography; the color and texture are determined by the time of day and weather conditions. Countless other influences expose the character of the wave at its peak. I equate the wave's apex to us standing in the present moment. Ready to step into our futures, our lives forged by endless factors in our past; the wave's allure helps us to envision a future of hope and beauty. (2022- Present)
